Who We Are

Umoja Tanzania–United Kingdom Diaspora (UTZ-UKD) is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation dedicated to supporting Tanzanians living in the United Kingdom.

We bring people together through cultural events, community initiatives and educational programmes that promote unity, social inclusion and opportunity.

Through our work we celebrate Tanzanian heritage, strengthen community connections and support those in need.

Together, we build a welcoming space where every voice is valued and every culture shines.

The Kiswahili Project

The Kiswahili Project teaches Tanzanian language and cultural heritage to children and young people in the United Kingdom. By learning Kiswahili, young members of the diaspora strengthen their cultural identity and maintain meaningful connections with Tanzania.The project also promotes cultural pride, community cohesion and intergenerational learning within the Tanzanian diaspora.
